Another Aurora, April 23/24, 2023

One month since my last aurora adventure, the Northern Lights struck again, and once again I was dodging clouds and an uncertain duration of auroral activity. I went to Howard Bay on the west side of Upper Klamath Lake, and only wish that I had ignored the clouds and twilight and gotten there a little bit sooner.

Green Aurora near the horizon, purple rays above, reflected in lake, car at left of frame.
First quick shot, 9:11pm

Green and Purple Aurora reflected in lake; Big and Little Dippers above, patchy clouds.
9:40pm: I liked this framing with the Big and Little Dippers

Green and Red Auroras with a bright purple curtain, reflected in lake, car lights at left.
Bright curtain at 10:15pm

Green and red aurora with rays poking upward, reflected in lake with rocky shore.
12:23am: The peak of the "last act"
